Collecting rent

The rent you pay for your home is partly used to carry out repairs and provide our management service, and when you sign your tenancy or licence agreement, you effectively agree to pay your rent and other charges (remember, your tenancy agreement is a legal contract which means you are obliged by law to pay your rent).

Rent reviews

Most rents are reviewed each year in line with your tenancy/licence agreement. We will write to tell you your new rent at least 28 days before the change applies.

Other charges

Depending on where you live, you may have other charges to pay.

These could be for:

  • Landscaping and gardening
  • Communal facilities, such as heating and lighting
  • The service of an estate office
  • Support services

These charges form part of your total charge and will be reviewed at the same time as your rent. We will tell you about these changes at the same time as we tell you about your rent.

For more information, please speak to a member of staff who will also be able to explain things in more detail.
